The Jar Of Awesome: An Amazing Way To Live Mindfully
You should give it a try, anybody can do it.
Who’s not guilty of setting goals and crushing the heck out of them?
Erhm… that’s not a bad thing per se, is it?
Actually, it’s super cool to crush our goals!
But here comes the tricky part..
We go after our long list of goals, one after the other, marking them off our to-do lists, without even stopping for a moment to think about how far we’ve come and appreciating how good the going has been.
In other words, we’re good at achievement and bad at appreciation.
I came across the concept of the Jar of Awesome from a book by Tim Ferris titled Tools of Titans.
It wasn’t his idea. It was thanks to his ex-girlfriend. She made and gave him the Jar of Awesome as a gift, probably because she figured he was also guilty of only thinking about unachieved goals and not appreciating how far he’d gone.
Here’s how it works
You can make the Jar of Awesome out of a Manson jar on your kitchen counter. You can use any type of jar at all, even plastic containers will do.
